Saints

Saints are those whose heart has been changed by God, and who seeks diligently to walk according to the indwelling of the Spirit of God. A person officially recognized, especially by canonization, as being entitled to public veneration and capable of interceding for people on earth.

Patron Saint

Saint to whose protection and intercession a person; society, church, place, profession, or activity is dedicated. The choice is usually made on the basis of some real or presumed relationship. A saint who is considered to be a defender, guardian, protector, of some group or nation, persons or property.

Prayer provides the primary means for humans to make contact with the divine and it is the means of contact between Patron Saints and the individual believer. These prayer generally consists of one or more of the following elements: adoration and praise, thanksgiving, confession of sin, intercession for others, and supplication. The belief is that Patron Saints intervene to grant the petitions of fervent prayers, in the matter of healing the sick, and desire for special favors. Prayer intervention is seen as the cause of most miracles!
